Special Spring & Summer Programs
Old Crayon Collection for Crazy Crayons -- Thanks to you, we received over 90 pounds of crayons to donate to Crazy Crayons! That's good news for the earth! This organization will keep these crayons out of landfills by melting them down and turning them into new crayons. For more information on the organization visit www.crazycrayons.com.
Get ready to take a reading road trip this summer with the library's summer reading program: Have Book, Will Travel. Sign-up starts June 3rd.
Weekly SUMMER Programs (no pregregistration)
Preregistration is NOT required for the following programs; however, class size IS limited. Sign your child's name on the sign-up sheet at the program room door before the program begins. Program sign-up is done weekly on a first-come basis. Once all sign-up slots are filled, the program for that week is filled. If you can't get in one week, try again the following week. Programs begin the week of June 10th.
Preregistration IS required for the following program ,and class size is limited. Registration must be done for each individual week your child will be attending. If your child is registered for a week but cannot attend, please give us notice, as we oftentimes have a waiting list.
- Globe Trotters -- ages 7-12 -- Tuesdays (June 11-July 23) 10:30-11:15. Check the program calendar for registration information.
Monthly Programs
Some of these programs require registration. Please refer to programs individually for registration requirements and dates.
Girls Rock Book Club -- May 14 (Tuesday) 6:30-7:30 -- grades 4-8 -- Make funky crafts, have a snack, and talk about books with other girls. Please pick up books at the circulation desk when registering. May book: The Secret Language of Girls by Frances O'Roark Dowell. The May book club is a special mother/daughter event. Both moms and daughters will need to read the book then come and do fun activities together. Registration begins Apr 16.

Novelist K-8
NoveList K-8 contains information on fiction books for all K-8 grade levels, and includes picture books, children's "chapter" books, and young adult titles. The database is updated monthly. Make NoveList K-8 your starting place for learning about the books that you and your students need and will want to read. It's a companion database to the NoveList database for adult readers, and produced by the same staff that created NoveList.
