DIY Facebook Challenge

Do you love creating with LEGOs? On the first Tuesday of the month, we will post a new building challenge on Facebook. Share your design in the comment section for your chance to win bricktastic bragging rights as the “Brick Builder Champ” of the month. Go to www.facebook.com/newlenoxlibrary and “Like” the page.


Art Attack! Mason Jar Art

Grades 4 – 8

Your imagination mixes with art in this art club just for tweens. Follow along with the video to make some amazing art @ home.

Mason Jar Art: Paint a mason jar with a fun fall color and a leafy design.

Participants will be emailed when art bags are ready. Registration is required for an art bag only. Registration begins October 8. Viewing the video does not require registration.


Art Club: Kandinsky Tree

Grades 1 – 4

Calling all creative kids! Create some awesome art with a step-by-step video to help you create a masterpiece.

Kandinsky Tree: Create a colorful tree using circles, bright colors and your own unique artistic talent.

Participants will be emailed when art bags are ready. Registration is required for an art bag only. Registration begins October 19. Viewing the video does not require registration.


Mad Science Club

Grades K – 6

Geek Out! Candy Sushi Feast

Grades 4 – 8

Meeting Rooms

Follow your fandom and geek out over graphic novels, comics, manga, anime, and more. We’ll create fan art, make zines, talk comics, and hang out. Registration is required and begins October 27.


Winter Craft Grab & Go

Ages 1 – 12

Mondays at 4:30 pm

Drop by the main YS desk and pick up a different winter themed craft every Monday beginning at 10 am during December and January. Everything you need is contained in the craft kit. Crafts are available while supplies last.

Spooktacular Halloween After Hours

Tweens, Teens (Grades 6-9)

Friday, October 16, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Library Green (South side of Library building)

Join us for a spooky after-hours experience at the library. Make s’mores, sip on hot chocolate, and watch a scary movie! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and don’t leave without your goody bag! Masks are required and permission slips must be handed in prior to the event. Click here for a copy of the permission slip. This event will be held outside to maintain safety and health precautions. Please bring permission slips to AS or YS desk. This program is for tweens and teens in Grades 6-9. Registration required.
