Teen Tech Week

Teens (6th to 12th grade) come the library Adult Services Desk between March 9 and 15 to submit an e-book review with your name and contact information. E-books can be downloaded from our Books & Audiobooks page. Your name will be entered into a raffle to win a $15 gift card to a place of your choice.

Yes, that is correct! In addition to downloadable audiobooks and e-books OMNI now offers streaming video as well. The collection is slowly building but there are many genres available. These are not current blockbuster titles, but more like old classics, which include many family friendly titles. So make Friday night Family Movie Night, compliments of OMNI and the New Lenox Public Library! Just go to www.omnilibraries.org (or click on the Overdrive icon on our web site)and do an advanced search for the format "streaming video" and you can see all of the titles available!

Book Discussion

Books and Wine

Join us the first Wednesday of every month for a lively discussion of books at Gatto's Restaurant & Bar, 1938 East Lincoln Highway. Come to talk about books you've read or hear about books others recommend. Eating and drinking encouraged. You can sign up online or just pop in! Look for the New Lenox Public Library table.

The Roots of Americana: Musical Memories

Join us for a Solo Concert on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Steve Justman has been performing Americana, folk, and popular music in the Chicago area and neighboring Midwest region for many years. Steve is a collector of songs as well as other artifacts of Americana. Entertainers of all types influenced him, the kind rarely found today. Steve showcases his collection of songs in his performances, singing and interpreting a mix of traditional and popular folk, pop standards, and classic country that people might know while focusing on connecting with his audience and pure entertainment.
