Fiber Arts December Meeting Change

The Fiber Arts Group will meet only ONCE in December and the date has CHANGED. The group will meet WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11th in Meeting Room A at 6 pm. Join other knitters & crocheters in an informal exchange of ideas and information. Beginners and new members welcome.

Family Reading Night

Family Reading Night is this Thursday, November 21, from 6:30-7:30 pm! Families are invited to wear their pajamas and join us for stations full of reading and technology while using books to unplug and seeing what kinds of cool technology the Library has to offer. Discover the TumbleBook Library, get hands-on with our Kindles, nook colors, and iPads, have a snack, and decorate your own bookmark. Six themed stations that touch on the STEM topics will be available. Best of all, once you and your family complete all six stations, you'll get a book of your own to take home! Registration is required, and spaces are still available, so sign up today to join the fun.

Vacation Planning

Join us in Meeting B at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 21, for Vacation Planning. Laura Thiesfeld with the Magic for Less Travel Agency will be here to present information on how to save money before vacation, and how to save on vacation. She will also present affordable vacation options for all Disney destinations including, Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Adventures By Disney!

The Bookworm will be closed on Tuesday, December 3, but will be open on Sunday, December 8 for the Holiday in the Commons festivities. Please stop by and warm up with a cup of chocolate or delicious cookie.

Catching Fire, the second installment of the Hunger Games trilogy, opens on Friday, November 22. Before you go see the movie with your friends, head to the Library to compete in challenges, test your survival skills, and more. Do you have what it takes to be a tribute? Find out here, and may the odds be ever in your favor. Feel free to dress as your favorite character or in the latest Capitol fashion. This program is for grades 6-9 and will take place on Fri., Nov. 22, after hours from 6:30-8:30 pm. Registration is required, and spaces are still available, so sign up today!
