Join us at Oster-Oakview & Caroline Bentley this Week

Carrier Pigeon

The Youth Services department is taking Summer Reading on the Road with visits to two of the local New Lenox schools! On Wed., July 16, we will be at Oster-Oakview School from 10-11:30 am, and on Thu., July 17, you can find us at Caroline Bentley from 10-11:30 am. Come on out to the schools to check in with your reading logs and earn your summer reading prizes or sign-up for summer reading -- there's still time left! Also joining the fun is Dr. Ubatuba from the Animal Clinic in New Lenox, who will be with us at both schools to share information on pet care and what it's like to be a veterinarian! Make sure you stop by and see us!

Paws to Read

Did you know the Library's Paws to Read Summer Reading Programs run through Sat., Jul. 26? Sign up today to join the fun of reading and earning prizes along the way! Our summer reading programs are for all ages -- from birth to kids, and teens to adults! Stop by the Summer Reading table in the Youth Services department for more information and to sign up your children through grade 8. And stop by the desk in Adult Services to sign up yourself or your children in grades 7-12. Our children's summer reading program participants will get to spin our new prize wheel for each three hours that they spend reading, and kids who finish the program will earn a free book to keep and an invitation to the Summer Reading Finale Party. It doesn't get more fun than that!

We want to hear from YOU!

megaphone

As the library’s fiscal year draws to a close, the Board of Trustees has started working on the Library’s strategic plan. To make this library great for the community, we know that we need to hear what the community thinks.

Which is why, I am asking you to take this short survey to let us know what you think is important, and what you think we should be focusing on. I hope to hear from you and can’t wait to work with our board to make this library even better for the residents we serve.

Thank you for your time and your comments!
