Summer Reading Challenge — Mon., June 5 – Sat., July 29, 2017

Get Ready to Read by Design!

Registration begins Monday, June 5. Start redeeming logs for prizes on Monday, June 12.

The Summer Reading Challenge is for everyone! From the littlest kids to our seniors, whether you’re a voracious reader, crafter, techie or just want to see what’s new at the library, there’s something here for you.

Be sure to check out our Events Calendar, or pick up the printed Program Guide at the library or download it here (PDF). We have storytimes, art classes, technology, chair yoga, knitting, sewing… when we say there’s something for everyone, we’re not kidding!

Don’t miss our Summer Kick-Off Ice Cream Social or our challenge finale, the Dog Days of Summer Party.

Babies to Students Entering Grade 8

Complete the Summer Challenge by doing activities from the list on your log (26 choices, including reading).

After completing 12 activities, you will earn a prize and a raffle ticket. When you finish the log, completing any combination of 26 activities, you will get a free book! Complete a bonus log to earn an additional raffle ticket.

Sign up in Youth Services starting June 5, and redeem your prizes with your Challenge log between June 12–July 29.

Adults & Teens Grade 7–12

Sign up in person upstairs in Adult Services to join our Summer Challenge! (And yes, teens in Grades 7 and 8 can join both Summer Reading Challenges!)

We will have weekly raffle drawings in addition to a grand prize drawing at the conclusion of the Summer Challenge. Visit the library to see our display case full of prizes!
