The Digital Media Lab will be closed starting Monday, December 19 so we can move into our new space, The Studio.
The Studio will open on Saturday, January 7. The Tech2Go Collection will be available throughout the move.
To use the Digital Media Lab room inside of The Studio, you must go through orientation in-person or online. You must be a New Lenox Library card holder, or belong to a library that is a PrairieCat member. If you're not sure of your library's consortium membership, ask your home library.
Please note that only adult New Lenox Library card holders (16+) can check out items from the Tech2Go DML collection.
In-person orientation
To request an in-person orientation, please call Digital Media Lab Coordinator Samantha Sliwa at 815-485-2605 ext. 127 or email digitalmedialab@newlenoxlibrary.org. Orientations take 15–30 minutes.
Online orientation
To complete your orientation online:
- Read the Policy & fill out the User Agreement
- Watch the videos
- Take the quiz
After the quiz, print out your results (keep retrying for 12 out of 12). Print out the first page (with your name, email address, and score).
Bring the User Agreement and your quiz results to the library, and you’ll be ready to use the Digital Media Lab. If you don’t have a printer, you can use our Mobile Printing service.
