New Lenox Library now has two VHS to DVD converters set up in the Digital Media Lab.
If you've used the converter before: The new converters are the same model as the old one, and operate the same way.
If you haven't used the Digital Media Lab before: We have a short orientation process you will need to go through before being able to use the Digital Media Lab.
- You can make an appointment for an in-person orientation with a staff member, and then learn how to use the converter. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 815-485-2605 ext 127.
- You can take your orientation online, and come in to learn how to use the converter.
Because interest in this equipment is high, we strongly recommend making a reservation, though drop-ins are still welcome. If you need a disc, we sell blank DVDs for 25¢ each. The conversion is in real time, so a two-hour movie will take a little over two hours to convert. We also have one VHS-C camcorder tape converter to use with our VHS to DVD converters.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask our Digital Services Assistant or Adult Services staff.
