1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
This free program encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before they enter school. One of the best ways to encourage learning is to spend time sharing books every day. Reading together helps develop pre-reading skills that provide a good foundation for school and learning success. By reading just three stories a day, you and your child will have read over 1,000 books in one year!

April Craft Grab & Go
Ages 1 – 12
Monday, April 5, 12, 19 & 26 starting at 10 am
Kit Pickup at Library
Call the YS Desk at 815-485-2605 and press 5 to request a craft kit for lobby pickup (mask required) or drop by the main YS desk and pick up a different craft every Monday beginning at 10 am. Everything you need is contained in the craft kit. Crafts are available while supplies last.

Zoom Storytimes
We will be using the Zoom meeting platform for all of our weekly storytimes. Storytimes can be viewed on a PC, Mac, Smartphone or Tablet (using the Zoom Cloud Meeting App).
Families are encouraged to check in to storytime early, in order to allow time for check in. Your storytime host will let you in from the “waiting room.”
- Registration is required so we can send you the Zoom link.
- New to Zoom? Allow a few minutes for set up before joining a storytime for the first time.
- To help stay secure with Zoom we ask that you do not share login information with others. Please direct them to our Event Calendar for registration.
- The Zoom login information will be emailed to you before the class begins.

Throw on your jammies for a family slumber party! Grab your favorite stuffed animal and cuddle up for bedtime stories.
