We are partnering with AARP and Senior Services of Will County to offer Income Tax Assistance to Seniors in our area. We will ONLY be taking appointments this year and will NOT accept Walk-ins. To make your appointment, you can call or stop by our Adult Services Dept beginning on January 23, 2017. We can be reached at 815-485-2605.

New Year Resolutions

With 2017 just getting underway, do you have some resolutions, to get healthy, eat right, lose weight? We have just the thing to help you out. Zinio Magazines, and your library card, lets you download 40 different magazines to any of your devices and keep them for FREE. Here are a few that might help those resolutions: Clean Eating, Eating Well, Men’s Fitness, Men’s Health, Prevention, Self, Women’s Health, and Yoga Journal. Check it out!

Youth Winter Reading Challenge

Chicago Wolves Read to Succeed Winter Reading Club
Mon., Dec. 5 – Sat., Feb. 25
Brith to grade 8

This year the Library will participate in a reading program sponsored by the Chicago Wolves ice hockey team. Participants may win ticket vouchers for a game or other Wolves memorabilia. Pick up your reading log beginning Mon., Dec. 5. Every year we choose a different not-for-profit organization to help out and teach kids the value of giving back to the world. This winter we are collecting donations to help care for the animals at the Big Run Wolf Ranch located in Lockport. Big Run Wolf Ranch is a non-profit, federally licensed, educational facility, which specializes in the education and conservation of North American wildlife.

Do you or someone you know need homebound Library delivery service?

The Homebound Library Delivery Service at The New Lenox Library provides FREE Library services to individuals who are residents within our district boundaries and are unable to physically come to the New Lenox Library. Learn more
