How do I get a library card?

In order to access our whole collection, you’ll need to visit the library and present your ID, address verification, and a completed application. If you’d like to sign up for a digital card for access to our digital collections and online resources, visit Get or Updated a Library Card to get started.

I only have a digital card. Can I still check out physical materials?

A digital card gives you access to thousands of items and resources in our eLibrary. To check out physical materials, you’ll need to get a traditional library card. Traditional card applications must be done in person as they require your ID, address verification, and a completed application. You can come into the library for your physical card. If you have additional questions or do not want to come inside the library, please call our Circulation department at 815-485-2605.

Will you continue to offer curbside pickup?

Yes! We understand that many patrons prefer to pickup their items without entering our building due to the current COVID-19 pandemic…or just because it’s so convenient. Curbside pickup is available by request. Call our Circulation department at 815-485-2605.
