Library Reopening FAQs — Holds & Check Outs

How do I place a hold on an item?

You can place a hold through the library catalog or by contacting us directly. We'll let you know when the item is ready for pick up and put it on the library's hold shelves. Please check out your materials with staff. Curbside Pickup is still available by request.

What materials can I put on hold or check out?

Holds can be placed on all books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs.

How long before my hold is ready, and how will I know when to pick it up?

If you placed a hold on a popular item, you can check your spot in line by logging into your Library account. If the item you requested is currently available on the shelf at our location, please wait for a library staff member to contact you that your item is available. Deliveries from other libraries is just starting to resume, so holds from other libraries will soon be available.

I like to browse your collection to find items I’m interested in, but I don't want to come into the branch. How can I do that online?

There are a variety of ways to do that.
