Summer Learning Challenge

Reading Takes You Everywhere!

Registration begins Monday, June 4. Start redeeming logs for prizes on Monday, June 11.

The Summer Learning Challenge is for everyone! From the littlest kids to our seniors, whether you’re a voracious reader, crafter, techie or just want to see what’s new at the library, there’s something here for you.

Be sure to check out our Events Calendar, or pick up the printed Program Guide at the library or download it here (PDF). We have storytimes, art classes, technology, chair yoga, knitting, sewing… when we say there’s something for everyone, we’re not kidding!

Youth Services (Birth – Entering 8th Grade):

Complete the Summer Learning Challenge by reading books and trying new things. Check out the list of over 26 exciting activities on your log. Once you complete 12 of those activities, you will earn your first prize and raffle ticket. Keep going to complete any combination of 36 total activities for a free book! You can even complete a bonus log to earn an additional raffle ticket for an awesome prize. Our Summer Learning volunteers are ready to sign you up at the library, right in Youth Services.

Adult and Teen Services (Teens Entering Grades 7–12):

Fill out your "passport" with activities and books you read over the summer.  The more activities you do, the better your chances at winning our weekly prizes! Sign up in person at the Library, or register online to join the Summer Learning Challenge!
