In 2000, August was designated “Happiness Happens Month.” For
many, happiness seems evasive; for others, improbable; but, for some,
happiness seems to abound. Why is that?
- “Happiness happens” BUT people don’t pay attention. They are rushing through their days and miss it!
- “Happiness happens” BUT people only notice the bad news. They focus on unhappiness!
- “Happiness happens” BUT people minimize it because all things aren’t perfect. They entertain an all-or-nothing perspective!
Then there are those people who pay attention to their thoughts and feelings, who take action to change what is causing distress, who are based in the belief that whatever happens occurs for a reason.
This webinar provides an opportunity to learn how to attract, experience and expand happiness in one’s life — at home and work, in church and community settings, whenever and wherever one is. Establishing a practice of happiness requires stepping out of negativity and the “sure thing” into “unknown territory.” What may, at first, feel risky and uncomfortable will soon transform into an awareness of happiness.
This webinar is divided into three segments: lecture, meditation, and question- and- answer period. The topics covered include cognitive theory, positive psychology, and simple steps to transcend negativity and enter the realm of happiness.
