Ages 1-3 with caregiver. A fun, hands-on experience perfect for the littlest patrons, Play-Doh Playtime is sure to bring out your child's creativity and imagination. Leave the mess to us in this drop-in style program!

Ages 4-6 with caregiver.  Big kids love Play-Doh, too!  Let your child's creativity shine in this Play-Doh program perfect for those who want to build and create.

Ages 5-12.  Get to know other homeschool families in the area while playing games, trying out hands-on activities, and more!  Siblings are welcome to attend, but activities will be geared towards school-age children.&nbs

Take a break from your studies to meet up with other teens at the library! This open social hour is for any homeschool drop-ins and public school friends alike! Stay for the hour, chat, study together or take some time to read a good book.

1st-6th grade. Create some awesome art with a step-by-step video to help you create a masterpiece. THEME: Sparkly Shamrocks

3rd-7th grade. Make friends and get creative at this three week Dungeons and Dragons campaign perfect for beginner and experienced players alike.

Join our long-running book club as they discuss a different mystery each month! Stop at the Patron Services desk to pick up a copy of the book at any time. 

4th-8th grade. Join Ms. Kyra in The Studio to craft and create using the Silhouette Cameo, sublimation printer, heat press, and more! All supplies will be provided. THEME: Springtime Pinwheels

Business book club meets at the New Lenox Library the third Wednesday of every month from 9:30am-11am.

Ages 7-12. Make the world a better place with fun projects and activities that will help spread kindness and leave smiles along the way. ACTIVITY: Kindness Rocks

Join local writers to discuss and workshop your writing. The group welcomes those new to the art as well as those with experience.

Ages 8-12.  Learn the basics of chess & use your skills with other players in this three week program.

The I-PASS team will be at the library to share information about the I-PASS Assist program for Illinois Tollway users. This program offers drivers the chance to have their Tollway fees and fines waived.

Ages 5-6. Calling all budding artists! Come listen to a story and follow along to create a fun drawing each month!

Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing, weaving, looming and other fiber arts projects for a social evening with other adults. Don't have anything in the works?

Ages 8-12. When the library closes, the fun begins! Join us each month for a special afterhours program just for tweens.

Ages 8-13. Join us for a discussion of everything weird, wacky, and wonderful! Each month will focus on a bizarre topic and include a themed activity.  THEME: Dreams and What They Mean

3rd-5th grade. This is a special celebratory meeting for Bluestem Readers who participated in our sessions throughout the 2026 Bluestem Readers' Choice Award period (September - March).
