Supercharge your LinkedIn profile with our workshop on Monday, January 27 from 2:00-3:00 pm. Also hosted by the Workforce Center of Will County, you’ll learn how to elevate your LinkedIn presence, connect with industry leaders, and enhance your job search strategy. Register here.

With your library card, you also have access to LinkedIn Learning and Learning Express. Prepare for the GED, learn about different careers, brush up on your Excel knowledge, get ready for an upcoming interview, learn about ChatGPT, and more!

Resolution: Become More Techy Savvy

If you need help learning new software or technology, the Library offers one-on-one appointments! Stop into the Library and fill out a request form and choose from the following topics: computer/email basics, social media, smartphone/tablet, reading apps (Hoopla, etc), library online resources, or literacy).

Resolution: Learn Something New

The Studio also offers classes on sewing, using the 3D printer, Adobe Creative Suite products, and more! Check out all the offerings on the event calendar.

Want to pick up a new hobby? With your library card, you have access to our Tech2Go collection! This includes camcorders, DSLR camera, tabletop microphones, sewing machines, jewelry making kits, and zoom audio recording kits to help get your new podcast, Etsy shop, or other venture up and running. You also have access to Creativebug and Craftsy on Hoopla- check out step-by-step tutorials and classes on knitting, cake decorating, drawing, and more!

Resolution: Learn a Foreign Language

You have access to Mango with your library card, which provides language-learning resources that teach real-life conversation in over 70 languages with fun topics to keep your interest!

Resolution: Declutter Your House

Learn how to digitize your photos, transfer your VHS footage to a DVD, and more with resources in The Studio!

Resolution: Save Money

With apps like Libby and Overdrive to borrow ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, and TV shows, the only card you’ll have to pull out of your wallet is your library card!

Check our website to see all the things available to borrow beyond books, video games, and movies. You might be surprised at what you’ll find! From interactive KitsforKids to free passes and discounted admission at local museums with Museum Adventure Pass, there’s something for everyone!

LinkedIn Learning offers a variety of personal finance classes, from building a budget to overcoming bad spending habits!

Resolution: Get More Exercise

If a gym membership doesn’t fit in your budget or your schedule, try streaming workout videos on Hoopla! We also offer a large selection of workout DVDs and books, from Tai Chi and yoga to Pilates and 15-minute abs.

And if you really want to boost your heart health, try going up and down the stairs a few times- that’ll really get your heart pumping!

Resolution: Volunteer

Choosing the right volunteer opportunity is a surefire way to stick with it in the long run. From shelving books to helping with programs and special events, you’ll be sure to find the volunteer opportunity that keeps you coming back again and again.
