  • Library to Open More Hours
    At the May 2012 Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees at the Library voted to be open from 10am-4pm on Saturdays year round. In the past, the library has been opened shorter Saturday hours in the summer from Memorial to Labor Day. Be sure to come in and visit us on Saturdays this summer! We can't wait to see you.

  • Village Concert Series
    At the request of the Village Board, the library will be closing early on the days of the Triple Play Concerts. On those days, the library will be open from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The days are:
    Saturday, June 2nd
    Friday, June 22nd
    Friday, July 20th
    Saturday, September 1st

  • The Library will be closed on Monday, May 28, Memorial Day.

  • We are Moving....to a New Catalog! Coming in July 2012, the New Lenox Public Library will have a new catalog that will make it easier for users to search, place holds, and find items. More information here.

  • Commons Closed for Carnival - The Village of New Lenox will be hosting a Community Carnival next week in front of Village Hall. As a result, traffic will be redirected from Rte. 30 to Haven and then to Greenbriar in order to get to the library. The Village Commons road will be closed from Wed., May 16-Sunday, May 20. The village will be posting signs to redirect traffic.

  • New Cafe Coming Soon We are very excited to announce that the Cafe will soon be open again. The owners of Bookworm Cafe at the Oak Lawn Public Library are opening a second location here at the New Lenox Library. Stay tuned for more information about opening, menu and more!

  • If you find that you cannot place a hold on an item in the catalog, it may because that item is new. Starting February 1, 2012, for the first three months the item is in the catalog, holds may only be placed on items owned by your home library. If you see an item that you would like that cannot be placed on hold and prefer not to wait three months, please fill out a Suggest a Purchase form.

  • NEW LENOX FIRE FOUNDATION SAVE A LIFE RAFFLE
    It’s that time of year again! Time for the New Lenox Fire Foundation Raffle! The Annual Fundraiser will take place on Sunday May 13th, 2012 at 12 p.m. located at Station #1. All are welcomed to attend. More information here.

  • Pay OnlinePay Online at the Library. Now you can pay for fines and fees online thanks to the Illinois State Treasurer's ePay program. You can also donate money to the library through this site. This is a free program through the State Treasurer that the library is happy to offer residents. When paying fines and fees, go to "My Account" and click on "Review Materials" to pay. More here.
