The Friends are a vital library and community support. Our fundraising efforts add valuable new equipment and services to the library every year, such as helping to establish the Digital Media Lab and sponsoring our 18th hole at Ghouls & Golf each year.
We also helped the library quickly respond to changes due to COVID-19, significantly expanding the number of ebooks accessible to our community, buying gift cards to support local businesses for 2020's Summer Learning Challenge, and purchasing equipment to support virtual meetings.
Founded in 1966, The Friends of the New Lenox Library is an independent 501(c)3 supporting the New Lenox Public Library District and helping the library expand its potential to serve the New Lenox community. Fundraising has included the Book Sale, community cookbook, and mums sale, as well as special events such as the Spring Gala and Community Rummage Sale.
