A vital Library and community support
Our fundraising efforts add valuable new materials, equipment and services to the Library every year, such as helping to establish the Digital Media Lab in 2014 (now The Studio) and sponsoring the 18th hole at Ghouls & Golf.

Quickly responding to COVID-19 community needs
We also helped the Library quickly respond to changes due to COVID-19, significantly expanding the number of ebooks accessible to our community, buying gift cards to support local businesses for 2020's Summer Learning Challenge, and purchasing equipment to support virtual meetings.
A long and storied history
Founded in 1966, The Friends of the New Lenox Library is an independent 501(c)3 supporting the New Lenox Public Library District, helping the Library expand its potential to serve the New Lenox community. Fundraising has included the Book Sale, community cookbook, and mum sale, as well as special events such as the Spring Gala and Community Rummage Sale.
Be Our Friend & Make a Difference
Are you looking to be more involved in our community? The Friends of the New Lenox Library are always looking for more people interested in joining. This is a great way to get involved with just a little time and effort to commit.
If you are interested in getting involved, email the Friends at NLFriends60451@gmail.com or pick a membership application up at the Library. Individual membership is $10 per year, and a family membership is $25 per year.
