Study Rooms and Spaces
Study Rooms and seating are unavailable at the library at this time.
We offer four study rooms in Adult Services and one in Youth Services. You may reserve up to two hours a day at no charge. You will need a photo I.D. to request a study room. Rooms may only be used for non-commercial use. For more study room policies, please see page 41 of our General Policy.
Study room reservations may be made up to one week in advance. If a reservation is not made, study rooms are first-come, first-serve. Study carrels and tables are also available. The Fiction section in Adult Services has a designated Quiet Area with carrels against the back windows.
To reserve a room upstairs, please contact the Adult Services Department by calling 815-485-2605 extension 123. For the study room downstairs in Youth Services, please use extension 117.
Proctoring assistance is available on a limited basis to New Lenox Public Library card holders. Appointments for proctoring need to be scheduled, giving a minimum of one week's notice. Walk-in appointments will not be accepted. If you are in need of proctoring, please contact Annette Maguire at firstname.lastname@example.org or 815-485-2605 ext. 133. Proctoring takes time to organize and an early start is important.
New Lenox Library does not provide tutoring, though tutors are more than welcome to meet their students at the library! Please be aware that study rooms may only be used for non-commercial use. For more study room policies, please see page 41 of our General Policy.
