What is Home Delivery?
The Home Delivery service (formerly Homebound Delivery) at New Lenox Library provides free Library delivery services to individuals who are residents within our district boundaries and are unable to physically come to the New Lenox Library. Temporary disability, such as surgery or birth recovery, is also eligible.
You must be a resident of New Lenox District and have a current New Lenox Library card. Delivery and pick up is available to individuals unable to come to the Library due to mobility, health, or disability barriers. Whether you are at home, in assisted living, or in a nursing facility, you are eligible.

Questions & Answers
Will someone call from the Library to discuss items that I may be interested in?
The Outreach Coordinator will contact the applicant to explain how to request books and other materials, as well as help with suggestions based off of your application. We deliver on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
How long can I borrow the items you bring me?
The lending period for New Lenox Library items through the home delivery program is flexible, generally 4 weeks. You can renew your materials one time.
Materials not available at the time of request will be placed on reserve and delivered when they become available. Please note that there may be waiting lists for new and/or popular items.
