Celebrate American Heart Month

Little Hats, Big Hearts
Patterns available in Adult Services
Collecting hats from January 1–15

Celebrate American Heart Month by knitting or crocheting red hats for all babies born in February at participating hospitals. We’re raising awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of Americans, and congenital heart defects, the most common type of birth defect in the country. Sample patterns for baby hats can be found in a binder at the Reference Desk.

Friends of the Library Need Your Help!

The Friends of the Library will be holding the first of their planning meetings for Spring Arts Fest 2015 on Tuesday, January 13 at 5pm in the Board Room of the Library. We will be needing help with planning the event, everything from asking for donations, sending out invitation postcards, finding and making decorations, advertising the event, and help the week leading up to the event and then the day/night of the event on April 18, 2015. Any little bit of help will go a long way!

If you are interested in lending a helping hand please email friends@newlenoxlibrary.org or come to our first meeting January 13, 5:00 pm.
